Don't just visit Africa...
...be a part of it!
Extreme Expedition Safari has a European office for customer consultation and a Tanzanian office to take care of you once you arrive. Our company employs the best skilled local people and supports a number of charities in the region.
Our commitment ensures that visitors to this beautiful continent not only have an African safari that will change their lives forever but also enriches the economy and the lives of the local people. During your stay as our guests, you will be part of African life - prepare to be immersed in its wonderfully diverse culture and experience life as you have never done before.
An unrivalled East African safari experience that takes you through beautiful, wild Tanzania
Tanzania offers an East African safari experience that we believe is unrivalled.
Where else can offer the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Mount Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar, names that conjure up a thousand images, none of which comes close to the wonder that you will actually experience when you visit.
So come with us, and let the adventure begin…
Extreme Expedition offers a range of carefully planned safari tours, taking in some of the most beautiful and ancient landscapes in existence. Enter a world where elephant families cross the land as they have done for centuries and savannah, marsh and evergreen forest share the same park.
No two trips are ever the same. Everyone who travels with us has a unique experience, created for them and only them. Do one tour this year then come back next year for another – once Africa gets under your skin, it will be there forever.
Tarangire National Park is a haven for bird enthusiasts – it is home to more than 550 bird species that you can see in the branches of the many baobab and acacia tortillis trees. And if you are lucky, while visiting this beautiful and diverse park you might even spot its famous white giraffe…
Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, but it is incredibly diverse – it contains 11 ecosystems and one of the highest densities of large mammals in the world, including Lake Manyara’s famous population of tree-climbing lions and the hippos that gather at the hippopotamus pool.
The Ngoronogoro Conservation Area includes the vast volcanic Ngorongoro Crater. You will find the ‘big five’ there (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino) but it has been home to humans, too… our ancestors left the famous Laetoli Footprints, the earliest known hominin footprints in the world.
The Serengeti contains the Serengeti National Park and several game reserves. Its name means “endless plains” in Maasai, testament to the 12,000 square miles the area spans. It is one of the oldest eco-systems on the planet, with weather patterns, fauna and flora that are believed to have changed very little for a million years or more.
We want you to be as comfortable and safe as possible as you travel through some pretty challenging terrain.
All Extreme Expedition jeeps are safari-adapted Toyota Land Cruisers. They are incredibly strong and reliable and can take you almost anywhere in your journey to experience the very best wildlife in the world.
Our well-maintained jeeps are fitted with photographic flaps, coffee maker, phone charging points and, if required and subject to signal, an internet hotspot.
Our experienced guides work with you to design the adventure of a lifetime, built around your preferences. At all times, we aim to deliver a completely bespoke experience.
They will take into account the kind of trip you are planning – family, group, couple - time of year you want to travel, the animals you want to see, and of course your budget.
You will benefit from their exhaustive knowledge of animal migrations, weather patterns and places to see. Full of stories of life in the bush and with an infectious desire to share their love of the African safari, your guide will be an integral part of your journey.
To take you to some of the most exciting parts, especially where off-road driving is permitted, the terrain can become quite ‘interesting’. This is why we use the modified Land Cruiser trucks and guides trained to the highest level in off-road driving.
We know of other companies where drivers have either got lost or become stuck – with clients. This is certainly not the customer experience we want you to have!
Your safety is paramount, this includes where you picnic, where you are permitted to stretch your legs, and first aid action, if required.
All of our guides are experienced in finding you the animals of your choice. To make this happen, they are fully trained in wildlife and conservation area and National Park procedures.
Thank you to Sammy Gonsalves and Colin Dobbyne for the beautiful images used throughout our website.
